GUEST SERVICES
AIR-CONDITIONING
All rooms have individual air-conditioning and heating units. The temperature controls are located directly on the unit itself. If you use air-conditioner to cool the room temperature, we kindly ask you to first ensure that all windows are tightly closed to allow the unit to achieve the desire temperature. Closing the windows allows it to work more efficiently and thus conserves energy.
BUSINESS/COMPUTER SERVICES
For your convenience, we offer copying, printing, and faxing for nominal fees. We offer faxing service 24 hours a day. In addition, business travelers will find work areas and desks in every room, voice mail and data ports and many different suites quite appropriate for small meetings.
CABLE TV
The Harrison Beach Hotel offers CNN, CNN Headline News, CNBC, The Discovery Channel, The Weather Network, TSN, Outdoor Life Network, The Food Network, the Comedy Network, Space, Much Music, Treehouse, Teletoon, BRAVO!, and A&E, to name a few.
CHECK OUT TIME
We are sorry to see you go! However, if you must, our checkout time is 11:00AM. Should you require an extension, please contact the Front Desk to check for availability, subject to our occupancy levels. In some cases charges will be applied.
ELECTRICAL CURRENTS
This hotel has 120-volt outlets in every room. If you have European electrical items, you will need to obtain a converter that will enable the use of these items.
ELECTRONIC VING CARDS
The electronic VING cards given to you at check-in allow access to all public usage rooms (i.e. underground parking, laundry facilities and ice machine) as well as to your room. These are issued for your security. The front door is locked at 11:00PM every night. After 11:00PM please use the rear parking lot entrance above the underground parking entrance and use your room key to gain access.
HOUSEKEEPING
Rooms are cleaned upon departure. If you’d like a clean mid-stay, please contact our front desk and inquire about availability. Additional fees may apply.
ICE MACHINE
An ice machine is located on the third floor next to the elevator. You will require your room key to access this area.
LAUNDRY FACILITIES
We have guest laundry room located on the main floor of the hotel. Laundry soap and dryer sheets are available for purchase at the Front Desk. Please ask the Front Desk for assistance.
LOST AND FOUND
Lost and found items are returned to the Housekeeping Department, open until 4:00pm each day. Please note that items are held for 30 days. For inquiries, please check with the Front Desk.

The closest pharmacist and clinic are 8km away in Agassiz while the closest hospital is 17km away in Chilliwack.

MEETING ROOM
We have a small meeting/function room available for small gatherings up to a maximum of 50 people that can be rented at an additional fee. Contact the front desk for details.
NEWSPAPERS
A variety of newspapers are available at the Harrison Market or the Husky Gas Station both within a block of the Hotel.
PARKING
The hotel offers outdoor and underground self-parking for all guests and patrons. The hotel is not responsible for damage, loss or theft of any vehicle or item contained therein while parked in our lot. Parking in the back lot is $15.00/night (plus applicable taxes). Underground parking is available for a fee of $20.00/night (plus applicable taxes).
POOL
Our heated indoor swimming pool and outdoor hot tub are located on the lobby level of the hotel. The hours of use for both the swimming pool and hot tub are from 8:00AM until 10:00PM every day. There is public washroom/change rooms located outside of the pool entrance. You will need your room key to access the pool as it is intended for only our hotel guests. Pool keys and towels are available at the front desk. . On Tuesdays, we drain and clean our hot tub making it unavailable for daytime use. It will reopen at 8:00pm once it has heated back up to temperature.
POOL RULES
Please read and adhere to posted safety rules. There is no lifeguard on duty. We require that an adult accompany children under 12 years of age. Alcohol, beverage and food consumption is not permitted in the pool area. Glass containers are not permitted, if found a fine of $250 will be charged, plastic to-go cups are available for purchase at the front desk. Diving is also not permitted.
POST OFFICE
The local post office is conveniently located behind the hotel.
SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES
Safe deposit boxes are available at the Front Desk at no cost.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
The hotel has one fully-equipped “special needs accommodations” located on the main floor. The room has two queen beds and unobstructed walkway. The bathroom has a roll-in shower, lowered vanity and safety rails.
POLICIES
NON-SMOKING POLICY
We are a smoke free Hotel, please do not smoke in any of the guest rooms or corridors. There will be a $250.00 cleaning fee added to your room charges if it is noted that you have not complied with our non-smoking policy.
PET POLICY
At the Harrison Beach Hotel, we want you to feel at home and as such have designated “pet friendly” rooms for you in case you would like to bring along your pet.
Please only bring pets that are fully trained and housebroken. We also request that your pet be leashed when walking throughout the Hotel and its property.
If you leave your pet unattended at any time, they must be crated or put in a carrier, you must also let the front desk know that your pet is in the room alone and leave them a contact number you can be reached at in the event that your pet is barking or disturbing other guests.
Guests are responsible for controlling their pet at all times and will be held liable for any damages, caused by the pet. Should they disturb other guest, we may need to ask you to find alternative accommodations.
Please note we charge a pet fee of $25.00/night + tax. Seeing-eye dogs are always welcome at no charge.

We offer our guests free use of our fitness facility which is located in the pool area on the main floor of the hotel. Please note this equipment is use at your own risk and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while using this area.

COMPOST & RECYCLING
We’re being Waste Wise! In order to reduce the amount of garbage going to our landfills, Harrison Beach Hotel is steering it into the correct collection bin.
COMPOSTING FOOD WASTE
Food isn’t garbage. It belongs in a compost bin. Our food waste collection program allows guests and staff to put all food such as pasta, grains, meat, poultry, cheese, dairy, bones, fruit, vegetable waste, and coffee grounds into a compost bin. Food soiled paper such as take-out boxes, paper towels and napkins and wooden utensils such as skewers, chopsticks, wooden cutlery can also be composted. There is a bin located on the countertop of your kitchenette. Please place items directly in the bin
RECYCLING
Recycling transforms old materials into new ones, avoiding the need to extract raw materials. Please place paper products and packaging, metal containers, and plastic containers in the recycling bin located next to the waste bin. Bottles, cans, drink boxes and glass can be placed in the bin located under the sink. Coffee pods and bathroom amenities can be left on the counter.

The public hot springs are open on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
HARRISON HOT SPRINGS WATER PARK

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY
UPON ARRIVAL
Take a look around your surroundings and establish the route toward the fire exits which you would take in case of a fire. Locate and confirm the position of the fire alarm and extinguisher on your floor.
HANDICAPPED PERSONS
It is suggested that guests with any special needs notify the front desk upon their arrival as that they are properly informed in case of an emergency. Please proceed to an area of refuge if you are able to, otherwise stay where you are until assistance is available to you. Once in the area of refuge, you must wait there until the fire department comes to your assistance.
IF YOU DISCOVER A FIRE
- Pull the nearest fire alarm
If possible, close all the doors around the fire in order to prevent spreading. - Immediately let the Front Desk know.
- Do not attempt to extinguish large fire. If possible, exit the building.
- Stay calm, do not hurry, keep relaxed and THINK, the danger is almost always less than you imagine it to be.
- Do not attempt to use the elevator if there is a fire use of stairs is recommended to exit the hotel.
IF YOU HEAR AN ALARM
- A bell signifies that it is imperative that you evacuate your room. Take your room key with you as may need to gain access later.
- With your hand, test the door in the hallway to see if it is hot or cold. Inch the door open if it’s cool. Close the door quickly if there is smoke in the hallways.
- If the hallway is clear of smoke and fire, head for the nearest exit.
- If the hallway is smoky or dark, stay by the walls as you make for exit. Keep low to the floor. Check the exit door for head prior to opening.
- If the stairwell is safe, then exit down to the street level.Once outside:

IF YOUR ENTRANCE IS BLOCKED
Go back to your room. Should the stairwell start filling with thick smoke and your exit becomes unsafe, return to your room and follow the instructions below.
IF YOU CANNOT LEAVE YOUR ROOM
- Stuff wet towels under the door and in air vents to stop smoke from seeping in.
Remove all drapes from the window, in case the fire should enter through a window no fabric will be nearby. - FILL your bathtub. Keep plenty of water in the tub and have ice buckets and wastebaskets nearby for carrying water.
- Contact the Front Desk to advise them of your location.
- IF you cannot reach them, call the Fire Department if possible.
- Signal your presence by hanging a bed sheet out your window. This will inform the Fire Department that your room is occupied.
- Keep the part of the sheet that is still in the room wet with water from the tub.
SAFETY GUIDE AND CHECK LIST FOR GUESTS
- Do not leave valuables in your vehicle and please lock up when your vehicle is left unattended.
- When in your room, keep your door double locked.
- The electronic door locks itself and double the security by using the dead bolt.
- Use the bar latch provided on your door and never be in your room with the door open.
- When not in use, see that the open windows are shut and secured properly.
Never invite a stranger into your room.
Before opening the door to anyone, identify the person through the peephole in your door. - If you see anything suspicious, see loiterers on the property, or are disturbed by noise, do not hesitate to report it to the Front Desk.
- These suggestions are not to alarm you.
- Most surrounding areas are safe; however, a crime can occur anytime, anywhere.These tips express our desire to make your stay safe and successful.
VALUABLES
For your protection, it is advisable that all guests place their valuable in a safety deposit box located at the Front Desk. There is no charge for this service. Otherwise, the hotel is unable to accept responsibility for the loss or damage to guest property.
DOOR LOCKS
Our room cards are coded to ensure that lost key cards will not provide entry to your guest room. Please remember your room number. For additional security, utilize the deadbolt on your door upon entering your guest room.

To ensure privacy, hotel personnel are instructed not to give out room numbers of registered guests. You may be connected directly to another party’s room by giving the name to the hotel operator
