RAINY DAYS IN HARRISON HOT SPRINGS

The weather is not always ideal, but a rainy day should not ruin your vacation. Here are some activities that will keep your spirits up when the weather has got you down.

Head down to the Harrison Hot Springs Pools and enjoy a relaxing soak in the mineral-rich water. The pool water sits at a comfortable 38 degrees Celsius; the pool is filled by the two natural hot springs: the Potash and the Sulphur. The pools are a great way to relax and enjoy what Harrison is known for.

Visit the Sasquatch Museum for an educational and entertaining experience. Learn about the history of the legend and why science cannot say for sure that it is a hoax. Go into the museum with an open mind and you will be amazed at its collection of artifacts and documents of Sasquatch.

Learn about the history of Harrison at the Agassiz-Harrison Museum. All artifacts featured are by donation, the museum is housed in a Canadian Pacific Railway station that was built in 1893 and is one of Canada’s oldest wooden railway stations.

Add to your art collection, or just browse at the Canwest Art Gallery. From water colour paintings, to blown-glass, they proudly display a variety of mediums from Canadian artists. Take some time to appreciate the talents of these amazing artists when visiting Harrison.

Let yourself be pampered at the Belle Terre Spa. Their highly-trained staff can customize any hairstyle for you. Sit back and relax while they take care of you and leave feeling fresh and rejuvenated. They offer a variety of spa services including manicures, pedicures, and waxing.

The Ranger Station Art Gallery is open year-round Monday to Friday and seven days a week during the summer. The Kent Harrison Arts Council and the Harrison Festival of the Arts work together to provide this unique space for local artists to show their work. The Gallery also serves as a living and studio space for artists.

No one wants to spend their vacation sitting in their room waiting for the rain to stop. These activities will make sure that you get to experience all of Harrison.
